Just wondering guys, whats the nearest butterfly site to you and whats in your area?

Mines at Mountstewart where I live. Here are the known butterfly species:

Meadow Brown
Ringlet
Small Tortoiseshell
Red Admiral
GV White
Small White
Large White
Orange-Tip
Peacock
Holly Blue
Clouded Yellow (Migrants)
Small Copper (but I only seem to seem them in Autmn, not before at their location)
Painted Lady (migrant)
Speckled Wood

Not an over lot, but plenty. More Meadow Browns and Ringlets than anything else. Never could figure why I only saw the small copper in Autumn as apossed to other times of year.

My local is Barnhill, overlooking Wembley Stadium. The hill is crowned by woodland, with a nice pond in a clearing at the summit. Surrounding the wood are some decent meadows. From the summit there is a great view down to Wembley Stadium, right down Olympic Way to the front entrance.

I have seen the following there:

Essex Skipper
Large Skipper
Small Skipper
Common Blue
Holly Blue
Small Copper
Comma
Painted Lady
Peacock
Red Admiral
Small Tortoiseshell
Brimstone
Green Veined White
Small White
Large White
Orange Tip
Gatekeeper
Meadow Brown
Speckled Wood

Wouldn't surprise me if Purple Hairstreak exists somewhere as lots of mature oaks. But not spotted any as yet. Can't remember if Small Heath exists. Lots of moths too. Burnet Companion was abundant this year. Plenty of 5-spot Burnets and Cinnabars too. Across Fryent Way is Fryent Open Space but don't know that area quite so well.
