Another skeeper ID please

Hi,

Picture taken same place as my last entry. Black tips to antennae is it a Essex skipper? or small skipper.

Cheers

Sezar, I see you are in Uxbridge too. Where these taken locally?

Martin.

Any chance of a male ups, or the antennae viewed from below?

Other upperside features are indicators, and when well-marked can be strong indicators, but both species are sufficiently variable for these to be inconclusive, in my opinion.

I go somewhat tentatively for Essex in this case.

Hi Martin,

Yes and No. they are all taken at Park Wood Ruislip. Last couple of weeks lots of skippers, marbled white, medow brown, white admirals just some of the butterflies. Fore Street entry, best abroach. http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x ... &ay=189085

Cheers,

Sezar

Sorry I managed only one shot, some reason they were very active that day. Thanks for your comments.

Cheers
