Conservation is about maintaining habitats in order to maintain the creatures that live within those habitats.

So it is with great interest over the winter months that I have seen much work being carried out to bring back the heathland that used to be a common sight in north east Hampshire that has been badly reduced due to forestation.

This work is possible in part due to the Heritage lottery fund and English Nature and is a countrywide long term project under the title “Tomorrows Heathland Heritage”.
Read about it and see how it affects your area at http://www.english-nature.org.uk/thh/de ... p?P|SELECT
