Ringlets

Ringlets have emerged in my local patch. These were shot today. The second individual is already looking a bit worn so they must have been out for a few days. My first sighting last year was July 1st, so these are early again by comparison. This species is known for being able to handle overcast or even rainy weather, which is just as well as it was overcast most of the day with occasional bits of drizzle.
