Lasiocampidae, perhaps Oak Eggar.

I notice that the larva is on Common Nettle ,a known foodplant of Jersey Tiger .................just a thought ! Allan.W.

Half grown Oak Eggar for me. Despite the name they're quite polyphagous and hibernate as a half grown Larvae.
