Noar Hill

Went to Noar Hill in Hampshire today as I've seen it mentioned quite a bit here, and was glad I did. It seems all the DoBs have finished and that was a disappointment, but that was more than made up for when I spotted a Lesser Spotted Robin Turner and his wife, Pat. It was lovely to meet you both...it quite made my day ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
Anyway, only 7 species spotted I'm afraid, and I'm pretty peed off at my photographic efforts too...just had an off day I suppose. I was pleased after telling everyone who'd listen that I'd seen a Dingy Skipper (I was the only one apparently) that when walking at the end of the afternoon with Robin and Pat we saw another one, a female laying eggs. Spotted were:-
Red Admiral
Speckled Wood
Holly Blue
Green Hairstreak
Small Heath
Common Blue
Dingy Skipper
There were unconfirmed reports of Large Skipper and Small Blue as well.
Like I said, I'm not happy with these images but here goes anyway. The Holly Blue was taken at Park Wood in Ruislip before I left for Noar Hill.
