I asked image generator Night Cafe for a Camberwell Beauty (aka Morning Cloak in North America) on Buddleia hoping to set up a spoof. It came up with this beautiful butterfly, but it's obviously not a Camberwell Beauty. Any ideas what it might be? Maybe an imaginary species.

Re: Jack with an i/d problem
Hi Jack. I think this is a portmanteau butterfly, not just because I don't recognise it, but also because the venation is quite wrong. If such a butterfly does exist, I think it belongs to a hitherto unknown family!
I feel confident about this, which very often means I'm wrong ...
