Spanish Pyrgus.

Two images of the same individual photographed at an altitude of around 1100m near Herrera de Soria in Northern Spain

I think it's cirisi but seek confirmation from the site "experts".

I have no experience of Spanish endemics, but this looks rather like Muschampia, possibly proto (Sage Skipper) or the Spanish equivalent.

It isn't a Pyrgus species.

Someone with Spanish experience...

Yes I can see now it looks very much like proto.. I was fixated on Pyrgus's :D .

Yes, it is a sage skipper, Muschampia proto. The two big giveaways ruling out Pyrgus are the complete row of submarginal white spots on the forewing and the lack of a white spot at the base of s.1 on the underside hindwing.
