No doubt I missed it, but I have seen no 2023 reports of Chequered Skipper (reintroduction)]in the east Midlands.

I am far from convinced the scheme will work, as low rainfall and hot summers in the area are surely not ideal for CS?

Hi Jack.

I didn't see many reports this year and the few photos I did see showed worn individuals. I heard that many people went but only saw one or two or none at all. A few weeks back I spoke to a chap that lives locally to Fineshade Wood and he reckoned that the numbers were poor this year.
The hot weather in the midlands last year was not as extreme as in the south east but still hot and dry enough to have had an adverse effect on some species.
