I'm trying to ask a question about a photo I took of a butterfly yesterday, but when I attempt to attach it an error flags up with a message. File too large. This has never happened before. What do i need to do? TIA

I could suggest that you have lived up to your username
Try compressing / resizing the photo. Straight out of a camera, the file is often very large.

I use PhotoShop and / or Paint Shop Pro (that once came free with cornflakes!)
There are many free online methods, but I can't recommend any in particular as I haven't needed them.
Try Google "simple crop resize compress images online" and find one that suits you.

Something called Photoscape works pretty well - there is a free version of that available.

Yep, that is what I use. A quick crop and resize is all my photos usually get for posting on here.
Cheers,
Neil.

Yes I use photoscape too. Irfanview is another free option. I resize all mine to 1200 along the longest side.

I tried a different method and successfully managed it by using my phone instead of my PC. My question/photos are on identification topic. Thanks again.
