Has anyone got any information on whether Chequered Skippers are being seen at any of their regular sites at present?
Thanks

First seen in Glasdrum Wood on 30th April! See:

... so I would imagine that they're just past their peak now.

Cheers,

Several today at Glasdrum Wood, at the little clearing at the top (Glasdrum tan spot). All looked quite fresh. Suspect the early first date was a bit of a freak occurence.
Small PBFs there as well.

Cheers

I was there end of last week 20+ SPBF and 12 or so chequered skippers along with 2 small blues and a few speckled woods and small heaths.

All were easy to find
