South Africa diary?

Hello everyone,

I've been following the site for a while now although I haven't posted anything.

For six to eight months of the year I leave UK ( during the winter) and stay in the bush in northern South Africa in limpopo province.

While I'm here one of my hobbies is to study the butterflies on the farm where I stay, which I've been doing for the last thirty years.

I was thinking to start a diary on the site, but beforehand I would like feedback whether this is suitable because after all it is a UK/Europe specific site, and whether, if it is suitable, users would be interested in this content.

If I receive some positive feedback from this post I'll start soon but if not then I will rather start a stand alone blog.

Regards, Scott

I'd love to see what you're seeing, Scott! The UKB community is pretty far-reaching and personal diaries/blogs are just that, so can include non-British/Irish species. So long as it's mainly butterfly-related!

Cheers,

- Pete

I for one would definitely like to see this, Scott, and I'm confident plenty of others would too.

If you don't wish to post it in the Personal Diaries section, you could put it in the Overseas section.

Either way, I'm sure it will be well received.

Would be very interested in this Scott. Trip reports from foreign travels are always interesting, but diaries that follow the season somewhere different from the UK are really fascinating. Looking forward to it.
