Bowles Mauve

Post by Jack Harrison »

The flowers are an irresistible source of nectar to adults.  I find that the plants are short lived - two to three years - but easily grown from cuttings.  But mysteriously, I have one magnificen plant (probably a last year cutting) that is not flowering.  This is very unusual.  Anyone with ideas?

The one you sent me is now in its third year, Jack, and is still flowering robustly. :)

Are there any flowerheads growing? There is usually a succession of them, but it takes a while before the flowers actually emerge.
