Brown Argus or Common Blue?

Always thought this was Brown Argus; prominent black spot on each wing, long male type abdomen. However, a fair bit of blue sheen to the wings. Not sure if that's the light/camera playing tricks.
It was regularly returning to completely barren dry soil.
Not the best photo as it's a photo of a photo.
Thanks for any help.

That's definitely a Brown Argus, Lawts. As you rightly say, the abdomen shape clearly identifies it as a male butterfly, so it can't be a Common Blue. Very fresh brown butterflies as this one is can often show a kind of blue iridescence at certain angles to the light, especially close to the body: there are no actual blue scales at all.

Cheers,

Dave
