Silver-studded blues and the affects of grazing

Hi, I'm a first year student at Plumpton College on the Countryside Management course and I'm studying the benefits of grazing on local heathland (specifically Buchan Park, near Crawley) and how it might help to increase the population of this special butterfly. I was wondering whether any of the experts here could direct me to any data regarding this or suggest books that might touch on the topic? There are some pieces online but nothing that current or focused on this species. Thanks, Matt

HI Matt - you could try the species action plan that contains some good references. Of course, there needs to be a focus on the ants!

Lorraine Munns' MRes thesis is also a good read!

Harry Clarke would be a good person to ask - let me know if you need his contact details.
