Hi All,
during a brief warmer interlude I came across a group of Holly Blues ( 3 males and 1 female) intent on continuing the species ! one of the photographs I took manages to show male and female uppersides + underside (male) which may be of interest
Hoping for an improvement of weather and year!

Nice image. You have more individuals there in one picture than I've seen all year so far!

Fabulous image, Steve. On those rare occasions I've seen mating pairs of this species both sexes have always had their wings closed. Looks like this is a precursor to the pairing (or maybe the already-mated female's attempt to shoo the males away).
