Pearl Bordered Enhancement

Post by David Tipping »

Now I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, though it's possibly true....

I was slightly disappointed with my best shot of a pearl bordered, taken at Gait Barrows this week, because the left side upper wing was a little out of focus. So I spent a painstaking hour on PhotoStudio 5 trying to improve things. Admittedly the final result still falls some way short of perfect, but I do believe it's better. See what you think. The top pic is the original version while the lower one has been doctored.

It does look better than original. What I do if I get a bit of "out of focus" I jut go into photo editor and use a relif on it. The relif moves the pixels in an angel you specify so the blurred effect gets reversed. This is good, but it does add a bit of noise to background.
Cheers all,

I agree a theres a significant improvement in the second image, in the original the eye is drawn directly to the blurred foreground wing.
Well worth the effort. 8)
