Hello Pete ,
It,s a little difficult to see what your moth is from that angle ,have you any more shots taken from the other way ,and did you catch it recently
or earlier in the year ,there are several "Grey " species it could be ,but a shot looking from the other way would help.

Hi Peter,

Just seen this. As Allan says the angle of the photo is not good to make a definite ID but from what I can see I would suggest it is a Grey Chi

I've actually found another image of a moth that found its way into our kitchen a year ago. I labelled it Grey Chi though I have no recollection who ID'd it as such, but both your suggestion of 'Grey' look correct for me.
