Creepy crawly - any ideas please?

Hi, not a butterfly I know though I'm sure you knowledgable people will now. My daughter spotted this on the path - I think it was trying to burrow into the soil. Hickling Broad, Norfolk.

I,m no expert but i think your creepie crawlie could be a beetle larvae of some description..................... Someone on here is
