Tiny caterpillar

It was so hot that I was sitting in the shade reading when something blew onto my book. I thought it was a smut until it started moving along the page and all my reading stopped. I know they must be small on emerging from the egg but this was only just over 3mm in length and I've never seen anything like it, so any identification would be welcome - thanks in advance.

Looks like a young Puss moth larva. Suffice to say, it should be put back on its foodplant - usually a willow or poplar.

Cheers,

- Pete

Thanks, Pete, now I've an idea where it came from - we have a large willow nearby in the garden.
Thanks again,
David

Certainly is - and does it really grow into this?
