Just two grizzled skipper individuals spotted during about an hour of searching in vain for green hairstreak. They were in the meadow through the five bar gate and up the steps to the left of the lake. I took rather indifferent shots of which this is about the best:

Much better than my attempts at the same place earlier in the week. The best I did was a photo of the herbs where the skipper had been a moment before. Still, at least they actually stayed still long enough for me to identify them!
