The Alps 2019,Belvédère,Godalesque valley.
A splendid day for our visit to the beautiful Godalesque valley that we first visited in 2001, the road to Belvédère is steep with many bends, after passing the village driving becomes more challenging, the road is very narrow for much of the distance to the car parks that were all but full when we arrived unlike our first visit when the only visitors seen were a small group of Chamois.
I started my butterfly search by following the track on the left of the torrent, butterflies at last, hopefully some interesting species, then after a coffee break back to work, I then take the right hand track which is a little steeper, more butterflies. I am hoping that some new species have been seen, we shall see.
It has been a successful day so we decide to return to the camping so as to avoid up coming traffic we reach the campsite tired but feeling satisfied with the days efforts, a well deserved beer was quaffed.
Tomorrow we commence our return to the Barcelonnette via the now familiar Col de Bonnet
Please can someone help particular with the fritillaries,the right side of the torrent to follow.
