If I were you, I would put the Holly Blue in this months competition.
You will get a vote from me!

I know it's not a butterfly, but I was so pleased with this shot, and we're all nature lovers here anyway, I thought I'd stick it in...a Slowowm.

I've got a Canon 1D markII N, and took the shot with the Canon 100-400 L IS and extention tubes.

Excellent pics Martin, the slow worm is awesome, not sure I'd want to get that close to it. I recently found that snakes and Lizards make my skin crawl. Bentley has tons of Lizards and had one scoot between my feet, I then spent the next few minuets saying stuff that only Bats could hear!!

The photos from southern Spain are great, especially the Orange Tip. Here's one of mine - a male Orange Tip from northern Poland.

Ahah ... I supected as much. Does not the Spanish Brimstone (cleopatra?) not have a large splodge of Orange in the middle of it's wings...;)

V6GTO ... I suspect also another automotive enthusiast ... if so, that's two interests we have in common....:D
