Pontypridd butterfly sites

Post by bugboy »

Hi guys,

I may be in Pontypridd, Wales for 3 days (as yet nothing is confirmed) 10th, 11th & 12th of June and was just wondering whether anyone's aware of any decent sites close by. Looks like some nice green places if Google maps is to be believed. Marsh Fritillary springs to mind...

Thanks in advance :)

If you want both Marsh and Small Pearl Bordered Fritillaries, BB, here's a nailed on site that I have visited many times:

If it's a particularly early year, there is also an outside chance of High Brown Fritillary at Alun Valley, near Bridgend.
