I guess Gary's looking for a butterfly connection. But I suspect you're on the right lines, Denise :)

I love a bit of random! It had me puzzling, Gruditch!

I think this is easier. Which four butterflies do these unlikely bedfellows recall?

Vladimir Masorin
Nero
Le Capitaine Haddock
Norman the Doorman

 You have to be joking. And there's no way I would have gotten the answer to Gary's question! Ok - here we go:

Silver-studded Blue is to Brown Argus as Silver-spotted Skipper is to ????

Fill in the missing name - and explain why.

Cheers,

- Pete

Well maybe this time I can think of something better....

What does Rotherhithe have to do with one species of butterfly, and what is the butterfly?

A shot in the dark here, but Rotherhithe docks are only about 4 miles from Camberwell, the first reported location of Camberwell Beauty in England. Perhaps it is postulated that hibernating CBs arrived on timber at Rotherhithe?

The Julia.

"This is a central American species and a single specimen was captured in 1936 in a greengrocer’s shop in Rotherhithe, east London. It is believed to have been accidentally imported in the pupal stage amongst bananas, the specimen being attributed to the Jamaican subspecies delila."
