A Black-eyed Blue spotted, which is new on the Sierra de Irta nature reserve, among 8 other b/f's this afternoon.

Russ, your burnet is Zygaena lavandulae. It feeds on Dorycnium and Anthyllis.

Thanks Mikhail for the info. on lavandulae, I checked it out on the internet. Do they have darker rings around the spots?

You are seeing some fantastic species. It is lovely to see them. At least I am up to three species here after a walk at the weekend!
