Ah yes... the fact the scores are shown at the top of each page led me to beileve I was on page 1. I guess normally this thread doesn't spill over to two pages so it was the first time I encountered this...

Like many others I enjoyed Roger's critique, I'm no where near as technically minded as Roger. But I'm happy to do the critique for the June comp, if Markulous, Jack, and Pete don't mind.

I think you're just the man for the job, Gruditch! And thanks, Roger, for the May critique. Your generous comments SLIGHTLY softened the blow of getting 0 votes. :(

I prefer to have 0 votes than 1...at least you can't be accused of voting for yourself :D

I think the "Lanterne rouge" is an appropriate accolade (and less obvious!) unless you can come up with a Lepidoptera-related analogy :)

Oh! Been away a few days and come back to find this result! Wow! Many thanks to everyone! Especially as the standard is so high - as has been said, there were a good number of winners there (and I have to say that the lack of votes on many were an unfair reflection on the images)

And many thanks too for the crits which I always find useful (not just mine, but seeing how others' pics are seen too). I've had a couple of words with the culprit and he's promised never to look the wrong way out of a frame again! :D

I tend to go for space and positioning of subject to the exclusion of all else, so am especially grateful for the pointer (you'll be unsurprised to read that my votes reflected my love of space!). My shot was the kind of thing I generally tend to aim for - more a macro with landscape pretentions (with light and space) rather than a closeup (but sometimes it isn't to be - like my entry this month, where the light just wasn't working for me!)

And no, no prob from me, Gruditch, if you're after doing the crits this month - sounds great!
