Hi Andy. Yes, the species flies in the Sierra Nevada, and if what you saw were definitely trivia, sensu lato, then they must have been ignasiti. Armchair tick (if it wasn't at the same time an armchair untick)! Obviously, didyma also flies there and is generally commoner.

Thanks for confirmation Guy. In that case , M. trivia does not occur in Spain ?

That looks good to me!

No, trivia doesn't fly in Spain, assuming ignasiti is a good species and not merely a subspecies as previously thought.

There were some interesting-looking beasts in the Var a couple of weeks ago.

First up is this male Adonis Blue. Are the small orange spots on the hindwing unusual? I don't ever remembering noticing any before.

I see what you mean, Chris and no, I have never seen that in bellargus before, although I have seen it in caelestissima.
