Unfortunately the pub doesn't reserve tables in the bar area so I have booked a table in the restaurant as I am assuming that the majority of people will want to eat something while they are there.

So, I suggest that we meet in the bar at around 1pm and anyone who then wants to come into the restaurant for lunch can do so. I have booked a table in the restaurant for 2pm.

Obviously having had to book a table this makes the proceedings far less flexible regarding numbers so if you do plan to join us for lunch rather than just joining us for a drink please let me know in advance so I can let the pub know and amend the details accordingly rather than just turning up as you may not get a seat!

Im hoping to make it there too so please include me in the numbers for the food.Thats the main reason im coming...for the food..not the conversation or the lovely people ill meet....just the food you understand
if anyone needs a lift from the station to the pub, obviously not during meal times, then send me a PM.

Cheers

I shall be eating - it is what I do best. Or perhaps it is drinking?

Yep, places at the table for Sami and my good self, please! :D

We'll be arriving by train, I haven't checked timetables yet, but we'll be there in good time for the feast - er, I mean lunch.

The concept is excellent but distance will always be a problem for many. So why not a few regional jollies?

For example, a good East Anglia/East Midlands location might be just outside Cambridge (the city is lovely but involves park and ride or tedious parking). The Lazy Otter for example:

location: http://preview.tinyurl.com/6ufr7bx

Or Chequered Skipper near Oundle (some of us have met here before after Glapthorn):

I would be happy to make the arrangements, say for end of January. (Sat 21st or 28th)

Others might want to plan jollies in different parts of the country.

Sorry to read that you won't be able to join us, Paul. Hopefully some other time.

That sounds like an excellent idea, Jack, you should go ahead and organise that.

If anyone fancies a free drink (yes, FREE! you did read right) you can print off a voucher for a complimentary drink from their winter drinks menu if you sign up online. Follow this link if you are interested http://www.theoldforgeotterbourne.co.uk/findus/

Yes please, but that's assuming that they do online free drinks for those not attending in the flesh :D

I'm afraid the Gods have conspired against me and I now cannot make it. I had changed my schedule (and my wife's) in order to get there, but have caught a heavy cold and am about to lose my voice. This is a great pity because I was really looking forward to meeting everybody :(
