Ce serait très aimable de ta part, Charles!

T'es un vrai francophone? Je me suis toujours posé la question à cause de ton nom, mais ton anglais est aussi parfait. En tout
cas, pas besoin de se vouvoyer dans ces forums, je crois!!

Salutations,

Guy

Sorry Denise!! Since Charles signed off in French I asked him if he was a native French speaker and told him he didn't have to call me 'vous'. I suppose it was a sort of 'in' message and I deserve a slap on the wrists, which you have now given me, so all is well :) .

The thing is, I work in a completely bilingual environment here and though it may seem pretentious it really isn't. Even my dog is bilingual because I made a point of training her in both languages. Whole school staff meetings are almost randomly in French or english and everyone treats that as the norm. Sorry sorry sorry.

That's OK. Just thought that I was loosing the plot!

I do enjoy your garden cam, although I have not seen a blackbird yet. All the other birds on your page I have happily "ticked off". I look every day and am always amused by the Cresties when they show.

I was looking the other afternoon, and I swear that I could see either a ghost or the reflection of your dog in the window.

Will keep watching

Phew! So you'll still be my friend? :P I'm really touched that you and others still look out of my window occasionally - and I hope that in the spring and summer there will be some interesting butterflies to look at!!

The blackbirds seem quite bold, like the jays, and tend to sit around eating until they are full, so if you clock on at the right time you can watch them for ages.

It's good I'm feeding the birds at the moment because the weather has turned extremely wintry recently. Here is my best friend having fun on her lunchtime walk:

Hooray! At last I saw a female Blackbird feeding.
Very busy seed tray this afternoon. I love looking at all the snow. :D
