Yeah, I get that, their uppersides sure are!!!

Well, here are a few more from the last few days....
first, two different Red Spotted Purples...

I love this one, which was Small Heath size, and rather different... the Gemmed Satyr... really is a gem!!

More mouth-watering species, Kip, especially the Red Banded Hairstreak, which is absolutely stunning. There looks to be a healthy range in that part of the States.

Yep, it's pretty good out there, but it takes some effort to find good places in the sprawl that is human America :shock:
The Red-banded is gorgeous, but it is tiny, about Small Blue size. It also tends to be a little difficult to approach! But then again, I'm starting to find they are all " a little difficult to approach"... I think I must be getting more "stompy".... Guy will attest to my lack of stealth when approaching targets, it's the excitement you know :roll: I'm sure I used to be better :?
