Well, here are a few more from the last few days....
first, two different Red Spotted Purples... next, a couple of different satyrids.. poor focus "record" shots, but both new to me...
Carolina Satyr.. I love this one, which was Small Heath size, and rather different... the Gemmed Satyr... really is a gem!! then the American Snout, only one seen.. the Clouded Sulphur... Lastly some more Grey Hairstreaks.. and another Red-banded Hairstreak.. Hoped for other Hairstreaks but didn't see any apart from these two species, never mind.

More mouth-watering species, Kip, especially the Red Banded Hairstreak, which is absolutely stunning. There looks to be a healthy range in that part of the States.

Yep, it's pretty good out there, but it takes some effort to find good places in the sprawl that is human America
The Red-banded is gorgeous, but it is tiny, about Small Blue size. It also tends to be a little difficult to approach! But then again, I'm starting to find they are all " a little difficult to approach"... I think I must be getting more "stompy".... Guy will attest to my lack of stealth when approaching targets, it's the excitement you know I'm sure I used to be better
