Out of curiosity, were there ever such things as cigarette cards in Czech Republic?

Unlikely.

Moreover, it was a very heavy, dark socialism here in 1963.

Recently I noticed a very simple wine cards of the Víno Mikulov (The Mikulov Vineyards) :D

Our butterfly education and preservation is generally very double edged, with both good (successfull reintroductions, butterfly reservations, saving species programmes) and bad (Šumava Mountains falling controversy & some smaller scandals) things on the move.

Thank you for the information. I think I prefer wine to tea! It is a nice tattoo on the young lady as well.

Remember those gloriously innocent days (before the politically correct police were set upon us) when you could buy candy cigarettes with cards inside the boxes?

I accidentally found one of those in the fridge. Must be my mom's.

No clues leading to the enclosed card, though :D

The colour illustrations used by Brooke Bond were by Richard Ward and reproduced in a book by CA Hall entitled "Know Your Butterflies" published in 1970 by Blacks. It's a charming little book worth owning simply for Ward's illustrations.
