Butterflies in May
Nice couple of Map Butterfly,
Araschnia levana L. I met on one transect next to Bukovcevo

June 2012. The largest success this month in the Bukovcevo BMS was Geranium Argus,
Aricia eumedon Esp.
First in 2011 I found
Geranium palustre grassland.
And recently, this week some of butterflies emerged on
Geranium flowers

This winter, 2012-2013, only two overwintered Peakock registered.

First March moth butterfly flight at 3 March 2013 registered. Butterfly and moth recording season in the West Ukraine started.

First day activity moth and the Spring start indicator emerged from pupa is Archiearis parthenias, 28 February - 10 days in average earlier than always.

No - the spot at the base of s1 on the hindwing rules out Muschampia. So it's Pyrgus. Do you have any more pictures?
