PPS - Peacocks (the bird) seem to be either a muster, an ostentation or a pride. None of which do justice to its (the butterfly's) beauty.
How about a pulchritude of Peacocks?

Re: January Peacock
How about a survey (vote) what we consider the world's most beautiful butterfly? The Peacock must take a lot of beating.
As someone said - pity it's so common

I think the only way this could be achieved objectively would be if various butterflies were shown to the non-initiated so they could make a choice on beauty alone.Jack Harrison wrote:How about a survey (vote) what we consider the world's most beautiful butterfly? I'm as guilty as anyone for taking them for granted. They're always striking and nice to see, but they lose something due to their ubiquity. They're a bit like the Goldfinch - extraordinarily attractive but ten-a-penny.
