I think I probably take too much video to store on HDD so may have to stick with the digital tapes and just back up the finished items on DVD and maybe HDD.
I have a sumvision cyclone attached to my TV with a 3TB Hard drive in it and I put all my final productions on this to watch on TV without using DVD's. This in turn acts as a back up HDD.
This device can also be connected to my PC via USB for upload and download. Can connect wifi through home network but this is much slower.
