I found this tatty old painting at a car boot sale in the summer. you can see a lot more detail since i cleaned it with meths & a brillo pad.
the lady looks a bit wistful & i thought the butterfly would cheer her up a bit

On the back is the title ...." Rincorare amarlo non potrebbe mai succedere "

blimey c d you are prolific,
your creative juices must be in full flow.
she looks abit happier already, probably be in hysterics if you had put your green pe on her shoulder.
i must find some inspiration?

Re: Arty *arty
after brain storming ive come up with my latest work,
its called "changeling". it depicts that point in time when all butterflies transform from a beetle into beautiful imago.
aah no! what was i thinking its pupa not a beetle, i new something was wrong,
dam, should have consulted someone on the site beforehand!

Re: Arty *arty
don't worry geniculata... these insects have a well complicated lifestyle so we all get it a bit Pete Tong from time to time innit.
i was at a jumble sale this morning & found this scruffy oil-painting wedged between a Blue Peter annual and an abdominizer.
the frame should be worth more than the 25p i paid !! after a brisk rub down with the old brillo pad ( the painting not me !! ) the grime disappeared to reveal this dim looking chick.
at first there seemed to be some kind of pearl in her ear-hole but further scrubbing revealed that it was a butterfly.
On the back in Dutch writing it said "Meisje met P.E."
