Arnside Knott is somewhere Sandra and I, have always wanted to visit but on the map it looks such a long way. We have never seen any of the 3 species you mention, so to see 1 would be brilliant.

Also I have never been to Wales to look for butterflies, so that could be interesting as well.

I feel lots of early starts coming up in the next two weeks and plenty of full CF Cards.

In my case there are still quite a few to see, but this year I decided to target some new species, particularly those that could be found within reasonable travelling distance. It has paid off, with 8 'ticks' added to the list so far. The most recent was this one; I'd been tipped-off about a bramble patch and after fifteen minutes watching with nothing observed but bumble bees, it suddenly appeared right under my nose.

Just wanted to call this old thread up to remove one I have seen now, "Dark Green Fratillary" well, only a female one.

Adding wall on there as I recall I saw a Grayling, not a wall, but I did not know so much about butterflies then and had no camera (last summer)

So I have not seen a wall butterfly yet.
