I got that last one quite wrong, Jack! Since the relativity claim is clearly untrue, I assumed it had to be a ‘false’ something. And with the grey wood, I thought the best bet was false grayling. Oh - and I went for large tortoiseshell too.

Ok, now that day is over for another year, and I'm sat at work on my lunch break a bit bored here's what I asked the AI to do for me.
This first ones an edit of Guy's first one which I presumed was a Clouded Yellow, so I made it Paler... I then went one further and added a burger (Berger) joint to the scene: The next involves some Latin, a checkered box (or board depending on which derivation to go with) in Latin is fritillus which is how a flower and a group of butterflies came to share a common name. This particular checker box is Green, specifically a Dark shade of green. the next box is Brown and being in the mountains it's quite High up. Here we have a Painting on a Lady with and American twist (I specifically asked the AI for a painting of the Mona Lisa with american flag finger nails, this is what it gave me, I don't think it's quite ready to take over the world just yet!) An easy one was a lady with Green Streaks in her Hair Slightly more cryptic but still easy I think was some White Marble (in a meadow to give it habitat context) Some more checked boxes, these you will notice have Pearl edging (Borders perhaps), again there's some habitat context here. (I tried and failed numerous times to get the AI to make one box smaller than the other but it really couldn't grasp that concept at all!) This one it's meant to represent a Scottish pine forest with lots of eyes looking back at you (Argus being one of the Greek gods with many eyes and why so many eye'd butterflies are or have been known as Argus). A lady with Ringlets in a Mountain landscape A Keeper of the Gate A Duke and Duchess dressed in Burgundy livery is what I asked the AI for here and well, if you couldn't see that this was Admiral Nelson dressed in Red and White...! I still think Guy's very cryptic one is an MC.

I'll get back to the serious work of catching up with my PD later!

Thanks for clearing those up, Paul. Apart from American Painted Lady & Green Hairstreak, they were pretty tough.

English names are much easier. A quick search showed that

[her] mum knew someone with the unfortunate name Nigel Ponsimby-Smallpiece!!!

Sincere apologies to any Nigel here. You have to blame Ms.Ponsimby and Mr.Smallpiece for the choice of name for their son.
