I am rather fond of the Comma and find the underside particularly attractive. However, for some reason I like to see a butterfly’s shadow and the Comma casts a great shadow, odd, but that is why I chose this photograph.

The most beautiful Comma out of a stunning selection of those that I managed to get an image of was from a local park.

This one gets my vote as it sat on the same patch of Blackthorn on which I had only hours before photographed a very nice Large Tortoiseshell, and from a distance as I approached I really did think my earlier quarry had returned!

Easy choice for this species - one of several cracking aberrations at Chambers Farm Wood this summer!
