Thanks Andy - can you tell me any more. Where on Noar Hill did you find it - or are they all over? I am only 10 mins away and used to have them in my lane but they are now long gone. How would I start looking for one - in the daytime that is?

Morning Pauline,
The glow-worm Larvae was just walking across a bare bit of soil over one of the hillocks near the middle of the reserve it was the only one seen though.

I saw a couple of Wall at Folkestone Warren today
Also Dingy Skippers, Orange Tips, Speckled Woods, Small Whites and Green Hairstreaks

After many hours of trying this year for a decent underwing shot of an Orange Tip, one finally gave in today and let me take a few shots of this stunning pattern.

My 1st try(for 2014) for 3 target species for the day...those being Green Hairstreak, Dingy Skipper, Grizzled Skipper.
Im pleased to have seen/photographed them all at the same site today
A Peacock, Brimstone, an Holy Blue were also seen. Whilst i only saw one Grizzled Skipper at one time, i saw up to four Dingy Skippers dueling on the wing.
Nice to see a pair of Common Lizards too...I couldnt hang around for long, because of work commitments, so i was a bit rushed!!
Location was Kent.

Several photos then. All shot using a Raynox 250 macro lens, attached to my FZ45 bridge camera. Which meant getting very close(within 6 inches to subjects!!).

Fabulous photographs everyone, and such an amazing array of species, so many more than we have round here. I particularly love the Orange Tip photograph. Do you find they land much? I have never had one land long enough to photograph, seems an impossible task!
