cricket ID

Post by millerd »

I spotted this cricket down at Denbies hillside this morning when it flew in and disturbed a Chalkhill Blue I was watching. Can anyone confirm that it is a Roesel's Bush Cricket, the winged form of which is unusual apparently?

Yes it is, the pale edge to the pronotum is a diagnostic feature.

Thanks for the confirmation, both of you. It was a handsome beast, certainly. :)
