Butterfly "Selfies"

Post by PhilBJohnson »

I thought I would "kick this one off". It is a Red Admiral at Bookham Common today (I like the one on facebook better where I can see my eye).
I am sure others might have a good go at bettering this one taken with iphone 6.
I understand that my picture quality isn't superb and not all butterflies allow one this close.
Also, let me know if you think I shouldn't get this close.

It is a bit of fun. I have an advantage with long arms !

Comma Selfie without "selfie stick" (monopod)
Sense of perspective making the butterfly look big compared with my head.
Newly emerged butterflies are not always quick to move and I think care should be taken not to disturb them too much.
