Please, what is this incredible moth, seen this morning at about 200 metres altitude in the Alpes-Maritimes? When I saw it I thought I must be dreaming .
Here are two more moths for identification, please. Both are in the Alpes-Maritimes at about 200 metres altitude.
The first measured 20 mm. wing tip to wing tip
The first is something along the lines of Small Dusty Wave - one of the darker of the Idaea species, anyway. The second looks like the micro Pyrausta despicata.
I've yet another moth for which I would appreciate the identification. It was seen in the Alpes-Maritimes at about 200 metres altitude, and was about 3-4 cm. wing-tip to wing-tip.
