I think it persists everywhere, Mike.

I quite often hear of people talking about Red Admirals but when questioned it's clear it's a Small Tortoiseshell they have seen.

When I was a child - shortly after the end of the Punic Wars - Red Admirals were called Bob 'Owlers. :mrgreen: .
