NOT a butterfly but what bird is this please?
I am not a birder and have no more than a passing interest in birds, but I notice when I see something unusual. My attention was drawn to some commotion in the garden today. When I looked out this bird seemed to be the cause. The local Blackbirds and Starlings seemed to be very distressed with its presence, taking turns to approach it. It seemed totally unbothered by the frantic behaviour of other birds around it. In fact there was not just one but three of them. I managed a couple of quick shots before they were all chased away. It is probably nothing unusual, but is not a bird I recognise, what is it please ![Question :?:](./images/smilies/icon_question.gif)

Thanks Bugboy.
I should have said it was actually slightly bigger than the adult Starlings and about same size as the Blackbirds![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

I'd still go for a juv starling. Size can sometimes be deceptive if a bird has fluffed up its feathers a bit.jackz432r wrote:Thanks Bugboy.
