Week 20! The Spring butterflies are just around the corner...
So concludes the sequence of posts giving one and all the opportunity to showcase their favourite shots of 2014 (or the last time you saw one)!
Of course our overseas members are very welcome to fill in the obvious gaps relating to rare UK migrants. As like last year details of locations, dates, times and circumstances would be welcome as would any accompanying stories and anecdotes or other observations of behaviour and interesting other points.
Have a goodun

These two are mine. For the simple reason, on how difficult they where to obtain, the time and energy put into getting such photos was enormous. So made the results even more pleasing.

Nice ones Nick,
I don't think there was any doubt about you coming up with some brill Wood White photos.

I only saw Wood Whites whilst in France last year, and to be quite honest, after seeing Nick's quite remarkable array of images over the last week or three I wouldn't have posted an image of my own even if I had taken one!!
His favourites are just the cream from the champagne bottle.

Hi Chris and David,
Thanks for the comments. Appreciated as always.
When you take about 4,000 photos of the 2nd brood Wood Whites alone, you have to get a couple of good ones.
All the best, Nick.

I only managed one trip to Botany Bay during the spring (4th May), but managed to see a few of this delicate species as well as a large number of Brimstones. My favourite is one the typical interactive behaviour described and illustrated so well by Nick. Fascinating to watch.

Hi Dave,
your photo depicting the 1st brood Wood Whites preforming the courtship ritual is one of the best i have seen, if not the best. Excellent photo.
And thanks for the comment, appreciated.

Re: Wood White - Favourite Photo 2014
The Wood White was a new species for me in 2014. Now that I've found its habitat (Gemenos, near Marseilles), I'm looking forward to going back and studying it a little longer this year.
