Surprising given the frost last night, Web.

I guess coastal locations are that bit milder than inland?

We are staying in Tenby and haven't seen any frost yet. It was sunny and 10 degrees yesterday. Still sunny today but not as warm. No butterflies yet today!

Just received a report that the postman in a village north of Haddington had a Comma land on his arm on Saturday while he was doing his rounds! :D

One Peacock and one Red Admiral in Otterbourne (Hampshire) this morning, making the most of glorious sunshine and heralding the Winter Social.

Just the one Peacock seen on the wing today, but I'm sure other species were about? especially with the warm temps here in Kent.

No chance of a photo of the Peacock though, its flight pattern was strong/fast.

Location - Oare Marshes, Kent.

Cheers Paul.

Amazing. Large White is particularly impressive.

Two Red Admirals were on our house walls today, trying to get as much of the intermittent sun as possible.

Not surprised there have been a fair few sightings today. Even in south Wales it has felt more like mid-October.

The late morning sunshine tempted me out to Mumbles Head and Bracelet Bay, where I duly saw three Red Admirals along with (amazingly) a Painted Lady:

That is pretty amazing - it should have headed south a long time ago. Unless it was a long way north to start with, of course. Nice one. :)
