This Labour Government is at it again

Post by Pete Eeles »

So - as well as closing several research centres at Monk's Wood, Winfrith and Banchory, in June 2007, it looks like this government of ours is looking to do even more damage:

I'm lost for words.

I've just emailed Martin Warren asking for advice on what we can do. Watch this space.

I think that this government has realised that their committment to preserving nature is incompatible with their comittment to build so many new houses!!

I've received a reply from Martin Warren, but he doesn't have any concrete suggestions - I can only suggest that you contact your local MP to express your concerns. I will be.

Sadly its typical of labour. I think they are a total waste of time. The problem lies in the fact we have too many people in our green and pleasant land. And things will only get worse im afraid as habitat destruction will get worse until we have no wildlife left.
The human race is a virus, and its tragic we cannot limit our growth.

We have not had a labour Government since the 1970s.

I believe there are moves afoot to cut up to 15% of staff ongoing in most Gov. depts. now.

Surely this thread should have been tilted ' This Government is at it again', as this lot are no different to the other lot when they were in power, apart from the fact that this lot have largely found work for most of the the people who were thrown on the scrap heap by the other lot, of whom I was one! Oh, and they have thrown money at the infrastucture that the other lot did their best to destroy. The other lot, by the way, were the Tories, who are currently led by a ne'er do well, whose first job is likely to be PM!

All Governments are harmful to our environment.

Incidentally, I am not a Socialist. :D

Absolutely! I agree that whoever is in power needs to be kept in line with reality :)
