I'm delighted that Vince has got some recognition. Every time I see one of his posts I'm onto it quicker than a speeding Peregrine.
The educational value of his work is something that cannot really be translated into words. Suffice to say that he could easily publish a book with his early stage findings and it would fill a niche that to this day has never been adequately covered.
Well deserved!

I have to echo all the comments above - thoroughly well-deserved for the patience, hard work and quality of the images and commentaries. Well done Vince.

Well done Vince - thoroughly deserved I always enjoy reading Vinces articles - sorry I missed you all at the AES yesterday, I couldn't get there until later by which time you had all gone.
The wonder of the world, the beauty and the power, the shapes of things, their colours lights and shades, these I saw. Look ye also while life lasts.

A belated congratulations from me too Vince. I agree with all of the previous comments - it is good to see your expertise and experience being formally recognised. I know from personal experience how much help and advice you provide 'behind the scenes' too. Very well deserved.

Re: 2014 Outstanding Contribution Award - Vince Massimo
Very many thanks to everybody for all the kind and generous words (including those that sent me PM’s). I feel incredibly honoured to have received this award, particularly looking at the list of illustrious past winners, although I first had to set aside my feeling of surprise. It’s great to be part of such a strong team at UKB and all credit to Pete Eeles for his dedicated stewardship and the work done in continually moving the website forward. My only regret is that he will not accept any awards for this. I am also indebted to all the active members of UKB for their support and ultimately making my job easier.
Congratulations also to the team at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History for receiving their award and getting the recognition they deserve.
Thanks again
Vince
