I thought I'd share some photos from Bulgaria, a Naturetrek trip at the end of June. It is a lovely country and a bit of an eye-opener about how many more species there are on the continent and how over-farmed our countryside is by comparison.
The best bit was seeing Glanville Fritillary and Chequered Skipper at the same site!
Brilliant! I especially like the lesser spotted fritillaries because you can actually see the disco-cellular veins - really useful pictures for showing up the difference from spotted fritillaries.
